I received a text message about Heartburn Health from NHSresearch. How did you get my mobile number?

NHS England identified people based on their age, sex and postcode on behalf of Heartburn Health. Name and mobile number was used to send the text message but was not shared with the Heartburn Health team. People who choose not to share their health information for research using the National Data Opt-Out scheme have not been selected. The use of NHS data for this purpose has been approved by the Health Research Authority based on advice from the Confidentiality Advisory Group. You can find full details about this data use here .
