Join the programme

We’re inviting millions of people across the UK to join Heartburn Health.

Heartburn can be hard – so we want to change that with your help. In less than five minutes, you can sign up and support research into solutions for heartburn, indigestion and acid reflux.

Who can join?

We are looking for men aged 55-79 and women aged 65-79 with heartburn, indigestion or acid reflux. Anyone who is in these age ranges and is living in the UK can join. Transgender and gender diverse people are welcome to join the programme using the age range that aligns with their sex at birth.

Get the chance to be contacted about innovative studies that could help improve care for thousands of people.

Receive updates about the programme, as well as diet and lifestyle advice to help manage your symptoms.

How are we inviting people?

Text message

We are inviting people to join the programme by text message. You can click the link in the message to sign up. The text message will come from NHSresearch in England or NHSWales in Wales.

Spreading the word through community partners

You might have heard about the Heartburn Health programme through posts on social media, your local newspaper or messages from our academic, community or commercial partners. Apologies if you receive multiple invitations.

If you have already signed up or do not want to take part, there is nothing you need to do. Heartburn Health do not receive your information unless you complete the sign-up form.
